Instant noodles are extremely useful relief supplies in times of natural disaster. The NISSIN FOODS Group provides emergency support through the World Instant Noodle Association (WINA), of which NISSIN FOODS HOLDINGS CEO Koki Ando currently serves as Chairman. NISSIN FOODS HOLDINGS assigns four employees to WINA as permanent staff members.
When major disasters occur in areas around the world, the Group distributes food through local companies that are members of WINA and organizations such as the International Red Cross. With the collaboration of over 62 companies, WINA donated 6.61 million instant noodle products since May 2008 through March 2020.

What is WINA?
The World Instant Noodles Association (WINA) is a worldwide industry organization that was established in 1997 on the proposal of Momofuku Ando for the purpose of contributing to development of the industry and dietary habits around the world. WINA regularly holds the Food Safety Conference and World Instant Noodles Summit, and supports emergency food aid efforts through the provision of instant noodles to natural disaster victims around the world. As of March 2020, WINA had 147 member companies and organizations in 25 countries and regions around the world.
The NISSIN FOODS Group has Kitchen Cars with on-board water heaters that allow tasting of instant noodles at event venues and retail outlets. When natural disasters—such as earthquakes—occur in places around Japan, Kitchen Cars are dispatched to affected regions. In October 18-19, 2019, to support the victims of Typhoon Hagibis, the Kitchen Cars visited two shelters in Nagano City. Employees provided CUP NOODLES to disaster victims free of charge.
Since the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011, MYOJO FOODS has continued to create new products to support recovery efforts in the Tohoku region of Japan. Since 2013, the company has launched products reproducing the tastes of leading restaurants in the region, and a portion of the sales proceeds are donated to the reconstruction funds of local governments. MYOJO FOODS Ofunato Sanmadashi Kurofune Sanmadashi Kaoru Shoyu Ramen was launched in February 2020. A portion of sales will be contributed for Donations to Support Furusato and Ofunato.
