Announcement of Tokyo 2020 Official Partner Agreement

NISSIN FOODS HOLDINGS CO., LTD. (President and Representative Director, CEO: Koki Ando) today announced it has concluded a Tokyo 2020 Official Partner agreement in the category Packaged Noodles and Pasta category with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (President: Yoshiro Mori). In its capacity as a Tokyo 2020 Official Noodle Partner, the company will support the Japan Olympic and Paralympic teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Company founder Momofuku Ando invented the world’s first instant noodles, Chicken Ramen, in 1958, and since that time the company has pioneered a range of instant noodles. Inspired by Momofuku Ando’s philosophy, "Food and sports are the wheels to drive health," the company has supported a variety of sports activities.

Among these activities was the company’s support for the Japan Olympic Team under an official partnership agreement with the Japanese Olympic Committee, which ran from 2005 to 2014. The company also supports the activities of professional Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori and professional golfer Yuta Ikeda under affiliated agreements. In addition, the company has entered into a global partnership deal with the English premier league club, Manchester United Football Club. Through these initiatives, the company conducts a diverse array of sports marketing activities to ignite the spirit of challenge through sports under the slogan "HUNGRY TO WIN."

With the target of achieving market capitalization of 1 trillion yen by FY2021,the company strives to innovate food culture, explore various possibilities for food, and create dream-inspiring delicious tastes.
