NISSIN FOODS Group Policy on Human Rights

The NISSIN FOODS Group establishes a Human Rights Policy (“the Policy”) to embody the spirit of the founder Momofuku Ando” Food-related jobs are honorable ” that is the mission to contribute to the people health and the world peace.
We will make effort to fulfill our responsibility to respect human rights of all people who are affected by our business activities.

The Policy will be respected by the NISSIN FOODS Group (NISSIN FOODS HOLDINGS CO., LTD., its subsidiaries and affiliate companies), and all of its officers and employees . We will also expect and encourage our business partners to comply with the Policy.

Responsibility to Respect Human Rights

The NISSIN FOODS Group has group philosophy “EARTH FOOD CREATOR” by which we express our desire to contribute to societies and the earth by filling people’s hearts with joy and delight of “food”.
With the philosophy, the NISSIN FOODS Group strives to respect and promote human rights in line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and support the international human rights standards including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Global Compact, and the International Labor Organization’ s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
We will promote continuous effort to respect human rights such as prohibition of discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, ideology, social origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability or any other attribute protected by applicable law. We provide a safe and healthy workplace and freedom of association, collective bargaining rights, fair remuneration, and to exclude forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking.
All principles concerning the initiatives for respecting human rights in the NISSIN FOODS Group's business activities will be applied in alignment with this Policy. We will strive to comply with all applicable laws and regulations whenever a negative impact on human rights is caused in any suppliers or business partners. We will also endeavor to respond to compliance with international standards and best practices.

Human Rights Due Diligence

Based on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Nissin Food Group will establish a system for human rights due diligence and, through appropriate and effective means, implement any process to prevent and mitigate adverse human rights impacts that we may have on society

Dialogue and Consultation

The NISSIN FOODS Group will engage in continuous dialogue and consultations on measures against potential and actual impacts of human rights with relevant stakeholders by making use of external human rights expertise.

Education

The NISSIN FOODS Group will provide appropriate training and education for all officers and employees.

Information Disclosure

The NISSIN FOODS Group will report on the implementation status of human rights initiatives on our website.
